WSC Ltd and the Adria International Raceway today announced the launch of the TCR International Academy.
Mario Altoè, Director of the Adria Raceway explained: “For some time we have been toying with the idea of establishing a Racing Academy at our racetrack, and after the building of the karting track we pushed hard to make it happen. However, the opportunity did not arise until we found the perfect partner in WSC and its TCR concept.”
WSC Chief Executive Marcello Lotti added: “The TCR International Academy is intended to meet the growing demand from young drivers who want to approach TCR racing and get to know the secrets of the TCR cars.”
The TCR International Academy will offer different levels of instruction, supervised by a professional staff of driving and engineering tutors.
“We will buy TCR-homologated cars of different brands and will use them to offer several opportunities, from personally dedicated sessions in which a driver will be able to make an exhaustive test of the car of his choice, to different levels of three-day group sessions. And because TCR is the ideal category for developing young and talented drivers, we are currently dealing with ACI Sport to establish a close cooperation with the CSAI Federal Racing School, to offer Beginners’ sessions that would lead the participants through successive steps – karting, production Touring Cars and TCR – until they are granted a ‘C’ grade racing licence,” Altoé unveiled.
“I believe that the Adria International Raceway is the perfect location to develop this project, because its modern facilities are perfectly suited to satisfy every need of a top level Racing Academy,” Lotti concluded.
