TCR Germany: second stop at Sachsenring

Following its successful opening event at Oschersleben two weeks ago, the new ADAC TCR Germany resumes this weekend at the Sachsering for rounds 3 and 4.
Target Competition’s Josh Files, who won both races at the Motorsport Arena in a SEAT León, will defend his leadership in the Drivers’ Championship; the Briton has built a margin of 17 points ahead of Benjamin Leuchter (Racing One Volkswagen Golf Gti), while Austria’s Harald Proczyk (HP Racing SEAT León) is currently third, four further points adrift.
Steve Kirsch (Team Honda ADAC Sachsen Honda Civic), who had set pole position at Oschersleben, will try to take advantage from his home racetrack and make up for the season opener’s disappointing results.
Two guest drivers are also taking part in the event: the experienced Touring Car driver René Münnich and bobsleigher Nico Walther.
Track action begins today (Friday) with two Practice sessions (10:45 and 15:20), continues on Saturday with Qualifying (08:00) and Race (12:00) and ends on Sunday with Race 2 (10:25).
Live timing of all sessions and races and live streaming of both races are available at www.tcr.series.tv and http://www.adac-motorsport.de/adac-tcr-germany/de/
