Promoter WSC Ltd has decided to postpone the TCR International Series event in Chile to the 2016 season.
The race meeting at the brand new Codegua International Circuit was due to occur on August 9th, as the ninth event of the TCR International Series’ inaugural season. However because the circuit must undergo some important adjustment works, it won’t be available for the date requested.
Marcello Lotti, WSC Ltd CEO, explained: “The Chileans are working hard and have already made a huge effort to build such a great facility which is the first permanent racetrack of international standards in their country. We did not want to put additional pressure on them to make the requested adjustments in time to host our races and so we will work together to visit Chile in 2016.”
The event will not be replaced and so the 2015 TCR International Series will be decided over eleven rounds.
