TCR cars to feature in Singapore Carnival

This upcoming weekend the Singapore Airlines ‘Light Up The Night’ Carnival provides local fans a chance to get a feeling for what the annual F1 Grand Prix has to offer, with both the TCR International and TCR Asia Series competing at the popular street race on September 19 and 20.
A few TCR machines will feature in the Carnival: the new Prince Racing JAS Motorsport-prepared Honda Civic cars of Kenneth Lau and Michael Choi will be there in a static display alongside all the other pre-Grand Prix promotions taking place, whilst a Craft-Bamboo Racing SEAT León will be featured in a moving display at 2:00pm and 8:00pm on both Saturday and Sunday, driven by Young Asian star Matthew Solomon.

“This is a great opportunity to showcase what TCR is all about in front of the fans, the organisers and the competitors,” David Sonenscher, the TCR Asia Series promoter and the Asian region’s representative of WSC Ltd explained.

The Singapore Airlines ‘Light Up The Night’ Carnival will take place at the F1 Pit Building, 1 Republic Boulevard in Singapore, between 1:00pm and 9:00pm on August 22 and 23. With the ‘SG50’ festivities (celebrating Singapore’s 50th birthday) taking place on the same weekend, it’s due to attract a huge crowd. There were 10,000 attendees for last year’s event and organisers are targeting at around 15,000 attendees for this year.
