Quotes after the second practice session

Dušan Borković (fastest): “It looks good, but it is difficult to understand, as the track conditions are very peculiar. We tried of couple of things in terms of set-up and it worked well. Still, the degradation of the tyres is very high here, especially in the last turn. If you don’t manage well the consumption of the tyres, you can be very fast but still remain behind. It will be a very interesting qualifying for sure!”

Pepe Oriola (2nd fastest): “I did only one flying lap, I was even faster in my second attempt but decided to abort the lap not to kill the tyres. Despite the 30 kilos of ballast, the car feels good, but you need to be very cautious, because you can lose the back very easily.”

Gianni Morbidelli (5th fastest): “Not too bad for a first real session, considering I haven’t done many laps with respect to the others. I had a small issue with the power steering at the beginning, but then things were ok. Still, I need more time to understand the car and find the limit.”

Jean-Karl Vernay (6th fastest): “Not a bad session, we are starting to find the right pace, although here the degradation of tyres is really an issue. We have a new system of brake balance, so I had to get to grips with it at the beginning, I had a couple of scary moments.”
