Practice 2 – Morbidelli is fastest ahead of Grachev

Gianni Morbidelli emerged as the fastest driver in the second practice. The Italian clocked a lap of 1:53.351 that was the fastest of the day so far, while his new WestCoast Racing teammate Mikhail Grachev was classified second (1:53.630) ahead of the 2015 champion Stefano Comini (1:53.917). The Swiss had a moment towards the end of the session when he spun at the Villeneuve chicane and brushed the wall with the front spoiler.
Pepe Oriola set the fourth fastest lap of 1:54.059, followed by his younger brother Jordi who had set a provisional fastest lap of 1:54.139 in the early stages, but then went off at Turn 5 and got stuck onto the gravel trap.
A few drivers have problems in respecting the track limits and eventually Davit Kajaia was shown the black flag for repeated infringements.
After missing the first practice because of a broken rear suspension, Dušan Borković could only join the second for two laps.
Next track action will be the Qualifying at 11:30.
