Pepe Oriola, fastest lap: “It was a good session, although it was very hot. Things went well for me, the car felt nice and it was fun to be able to attack a bit and test the limit of the car.”

Gianni Morbidelli, 8^th fastest: “Five flying laps is certainly not enough to even get a first impression. There is still a lot to learn about the car. Towards the end of the session I had some engine misfiring that forced me to slow down.”

Lorenzo Veglia, 10^th fastest: “It was terribly hot this afternoon and I had to struggle with a lot of understeer, I think we took the wrong direction and we’ll have to rethink entirely the setup of the car.”

Franz Engstler, 11^th fastest: “I enjoyed driving on this track with the Audi TT very much. Of course, after so many years with rear-wheel-drive, I need some time to adjust to front-wheel-drive cars, but it’s a nice challenge. We still have a lot of work to do to improve the balance of the car, as we have too much understeer and wheel spinning on exiting corners.”
