More weight and less power for the Opel Astra

The TCR Technical Department has issued a new bulletin regarding the Balance of Performance.
The document adjusts the parameters for the Opel Astra TCR and includes the new Ford Focus TCR built by FRD Motorsport.
On the basis of the latest results achieved – and notably Pierre-Yves Corthals’ victory at Jerez de la Frontera last weekend – 30 kilos of weight has been imposed to the Astra. This represents an increase of 10 kilos compared to the previous Technical Bulletin issued ten days ago, which put it on the same running weight as the Honda Civic and the SEAT León SEQ: 1315 kg. On top of this the power of the Opel engine has been limited to 95%.
As for the Ford, it will be allowed to run on the minimum weight of 1285 kg.
In the case of new models making their first appearance in the TCR International Series, the technical department has the power to further adjust the Balance of Performance during the race weekend.
