Both R Engineering Honda Civic cars of Lai Wee Sing and Mohamed Kaathir were excluded from today’s Qualifying session after a parc-ferme infringement.
Lai and Kaathir had qualified second and fourth respectively; their exclusion means that Diego Moran inherited second position on the front row of the grid for tomorrow’s Race 1, alongside his Liqui Moly Team Engstler teammate Kantadhee Kusiri who will start from the pole position.
Team Thailand’s Tin Sritrai and Audi Hong Kong’s Jasper Thong (the fastest in the TCR Asia Cup) will share the second row.
Douglas Khoo and Alex Liu also inherited front row positions on the top-eight reverse grid for Race 2.
