Drivers’ quotes after the first Free Practice

Mat’o Homola (fastest): “I am happy with the pace, the result and the behaviour of the car. We started from yesterday’s set-up and changed some small things. There is still some things we could improve, but it’s already a well-balanced car, and when I put on new tyres, the lap time came.”

Gianni Morbidelli (second fastest): “We did a good work, I think we have taken the right direction in terms of set-up. There is a significant improvement in respect to yesterday. The only problem is the heat, but that we can’t help. It’s really very tough inside the car.”

Jack Lemvard (third fastest): “I surprised myself about my best time, as I did not do many laps and was still on old tyres, although fresher than yesterday’s. The car feels good but there is still some room for improvement, at least two or three tenths as far as driving is concerned. For qualifying, I think we can be in the top five.”

Petr Fulín (sixth fastest): “A good result, I am happy. The car is much better than yesterday, when we had an issue with a broken part in the sub-frame. Today is all ok and we’ll aim at improving in Free Practice 2 with new tyres.”

Luigi Ferrara (twelfth fastest): “Today we had a good session, things work well and we can now focus on the set-up. It’s a pity we basically lost most of yesterday’s testing sessions, but it’s also better we had that issue yesterday and not today. It was a stupid small thing, just a wire of the gear position sensor that broke.”
