The TCR International Series race meeting at Buriram’s Chang International Circuit was officially launched last Friday in a press conference at Bangkok’s Amari Watergate Hotel.
Before a large representation of Thai media, Newin Chidchob, the President of Buriram United International Circuit Co. Ltd, said: “We are very proud to host the TCR International Series for the second year. This will be a fantastic world-class race meeting that will see the best Thai Touring Car drivers fighting against some of the fastest international stars. An event that Thai motorsport fans cannot miss!”
Tanaisiri Chanvitayarom, Managing Director of Buriram United International Circuit echoed: “Motorsport in Thailand is rapidly growing and TCR is providing the ideal platform to car manufacturers, teams and drivers to compete in a top-level professional category. We are delighted to offer Thai motorsport fans the opportunity to cheer for them as they take part in the TCR International Series.”
A strong representation of TCR Thailand competitors is expected to appear in the TCR International Series at Buriram; among them Jack Lemvard, whose Vattana Motorsport SEAT León was exhibited at the Amari Watergate.
“I’m extremely excited to have the opportunity to race in the TCR International Series and I will do my best to show my potential against the championship’s top drivers,” Lemvard said.
The TCR International Series will race at Buriram on August 27th and 28th.
