VukovićMotorsport announced that BESA Group has placed the first order for the new Renault Mégane TCR; the German team has purchased two of the racing cars built and developed by the Switzerland-based engineering company. Both cars will be on display at the Essen Motorshow, on December 1st to 10th.
Franjo Kovač, CEO and owner of the BESA Group said: “I am a true fan of what Milenko Vukovićis putting on the market and the Mégane TCR is exactly what I was looking for. I want my team to perform at the very front and I do not want to make any compromises on quality and performance. I am absolutely convinced that the Mégane TCR will establish itself as one of the top reference in the category.”
“I am very proud to see how well the Mégane TCR is being received,”said Milenko Vuković. “With the engine almost ready to come in the car, I now have all the elements in place to move forward. We have already started building further chassis while at the same time, we are preparing for our intensive winter testing programme.”
Lichtenstein based Lehmann Motorentechnik, in charge of developing the 1.8-liter engine, has now completed the build of the development engine, which is currently being optimized on the dyno, together with technical partner BOSCH Motorsport.
The Megane TCR by Vukovic Motorsport in its full sprint race specifications is offered at the price of 130,000 €; the delivery time is six to eight weeks.
