The contest launched by the RACB National Team to select two young new talents who will drive a SEAT León car in next year’s TCR Benelux Series, has had an overwhelming success.
Not less than 565 candidacies were introduced, which made things not easy to manage for the RACB. “We have broken all records”, reckoned Geoffroy Theunis, the manager of the RACB National Team, “The first part of the selection, where candidates were judged on simulator, performing three laps of Spa-Francorchamps in a SEAT León, needed no less than 14 full day to be completed.”
With this phase now over, 32 candidates will take part in the semi-finals (again on simulator, but on a non-disclosed track) and eight will reach the final phase, which will also include an evaluation by a special jury and physical tests.
