TCR Italy – Two penalties help Scalvini in the title fight

The Stewards of the Meeting excluded Alberto Viberti (MM Motorsport Honda Civic) and Carlotta Fedeli (PitLane Competizioni Audi RS3 LMS) from the first race of the TCR Italy that took place this afternoon at Vallelunga.
Viberti and Fedeli who had finished the race in fifth and sixth positions respectively were excluded for failing to carry the 20-kilo ballast that is mandatory for those drivers who join the series from the sixth event.
Their exclusion promoted Eric Scalvini (MM Motorsport Honda Civic) from ninth to seventh and this also meant that his gap from the championship leader Nicola Baldan (PitLane Competizioni SEAT León) was reduced to 8 points only.
